China International Lake Management and Technology & Equipment Exhibition will be held concurrently with 13th World Lake Conference this November. The exhibition showcases China's achievements in lake management and involves exhibits from NGOs worldwide and enterprises from Japan, Europe and North America.
Lake as an important water resorce is facing a serious threat. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the protection of lakes, a vital water source and has plans invest billions of RMB into implementing new strategies on lake management and ecological protection over the next few years.
The conference will address Lake Eutrophication, impact of global warming on lakes, and lake ecological protection issues through more than 30 thematic seminar sessions.
The conference will also include technical sessions focusing on technological research and on-site project demonstrations in Taihu Lake, Chaohu Lake, Dianchi Lake and other lakes in Wuhan province.
The sessions provide an academic exchange platform for scientists, create business opportunities for developed countries, and allow representatives from developing nations a rare opportunity to be exposed to lake management initiatives in China.
